7th CTG Summer Encampment 2024

E Komo Mai & Welcome to the Hawai'i Cadet Training Group Summer Encampment.  From June 13 to 20, 1947, Hawaiʻi Wing Civil Air Patrol, under the direction of Major General Wooten, established the first annual summer encampment for cadets on Hickam Air Force Base and has continued a tradition of providing a unique opportunity for our cadet members to progress in their pathway.  Encampment is established to challenge cadets and excel in growth opportunities, with the Civil Air Patrol creating leaders for tomorrow.  The program was developed to inspire cadets to develop leadership skills, learn about aviation, space, and technology, commit to a habit of regular exercise, and live the Core Values. 

Cadets of the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary will train with emphasis not only in leadership and character but also in fitness and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.) The type of training that cadets receive during a week-long course of events and activities will be one that is intense with a "military type" of training model. It also demonstrates the comradery and teamwork-building skills to assist cadets in becoming future mentors to new cadets while establishing life-long positive memories.
