82nd Commemoration “Legacy of Hope” Ceremony
(Pearl Harbor, Hi) – Every year on December 7th, people from all over the world unite to honor and remember the brave men and women who lost their lives during the Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor in 1941. Their sacrifice inspires us and reminds us of the importance of coming together in adversity.
(Wahiawa, Hawai’i) - On August 26, 2023, Mr. John Gleeson, a Senior Member of the Hawaii Wing Civil Air Patrol, celebrated his 100th birthday by soaring through the skies in a CAP Glider on August 26, 2023. As a WWII veteran and B-24 Bomber Pilot, Mr. Gleeson has devoted his life to serving his country through flight. His incredible accomplishment serves as proof that age is just a number.
