Civil Air Patrol Joins Search for Missing Teens
Civil Air Patrol’s Hawaii Wing received a call at 4:05 p.m. Saturday from the U.S. Air Force’s Pacific Air Command to support U.S. Coast Guard District 14 in ongoing search and rescue efforts for two missing teenagers off the North Shore of Oahu.

Kona, Hawaii - On December 17th, the Civil Air Patrol Cadets of the Kona Composite Squadron along with the sponsors named below, participated in the 12th year of supporting Wreaths Across America and placing 612 wreaths at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. This is a tradition of placing wreaths on the headstones of our Nation's fallen heroes at Arlington National Cemetery and hundreds of other veterans’ cemeteries across the country during the holidays. The mission – to Remember, Honor, and Teach about the sacrifices made by our veterans – has captured the hearts and minds of many communities across the country.
Hawaii Wing Suspends Search For Missing Aircraft
Honolulu, Hawai’i – On 16 December & 17 December, Hawai’i Wing Civil Air Patrol U.S. Airforce Auxiliary unit (CAP) volunteers responded to a request for aerial support from the Fourteenth Coast Guard District (USCG) to assist in a search and rescue mission of a missing aircraft.

Hilo, Hawai’i – Hawai‘i Wing Civil Air Patrol (CAP) volunteers responded at 2:45 am this morning to a request from the Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency to fly a US Geological Survey volcanologist, a mission pilot, and aerial photographer to observe conditions associated with with the eruption of Mauna Loa.

Hilo, Hawai’i – Hawai’i Wing Civil Air Patrol (CAP) volunteers responded at 2:45 this morning to a request from the Hawai’i Emergency Management Agency to fly a U.S. Geological Survey volcanologist to observe conditions associated with the eruption of Mauna Loa. Also onboard the aircraft is the CAP mission pilot and aerial photographer. An incident command post has been opened in Hilo while CAP volunteers from three islands and the mainland have already responded in support of this early morning mission.

Kahului, HI — November 4, 2022 — The Maui County Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol is supporting Wreaths Across America at the Makawao Veterans Cemetery at noon on Saturday, December 17, 2022. This is the Second year that The Maui County Composite Squadron will participate in the national program whose mission is to Remember the fallen, Honor those who served, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.
Promotion Night at Wheeler Composite Squadron
Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawai‘i - 9th Wheeler Composite Squadron of Hawai‘i Wing Civil Air Patrol, has a new record for monthly promotions with 21 cadets.
Six of the promoting cadets have joined within the past two months, completing their first achievement, receiving the John F. Curry Award, and are officially Cadet Airman. Cadets receiving their first insignia is always special and for Wheeler Composite Squadron it is something that is truly celebrated and doesn’t go unnoticed.
Hawai‘i Civil Air Patrol West-Oʻahu Composite Squadron gifted $10,000 donation
Kapolei, Hawaiʻi – The Hawaiʻi Civil Air Patrol West-Oʻahu Composite Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Danny Carter, will accept a $10,000 donation presented by Jon Mauer, President, and CEO of Island Energy Services, LLC (IES), a Hawai‘i-based energy company headquartered in Kapolei, Oʻahu.
