On May 18, 2004 a gathering of the Wheeler
Composite Squadron members, Seniors and Cadets, came together to honor
and bid farewell to our out going Squadron CC, Major Rob Brandt.
Major Brandt, soon to be Mr. Brandt, is also retiring from the United
States Air Force, and due to circumstance beyond his control will be
leaving our fair Islands. At the party, Rob was presented a
memento and certificates to remember his tenure as the CC of
Wheeler. So Rob, we say, "May the skies be fair and the winds
calm whenever or wherever you fly, but always whenever you are able to
return to Hawaii, come fly our friendly skies with us of the Wheeler
Composite Squadron and in fact to whole Hawaii Wing." This
sentiment comes from not only from tthe members of the squadron, but
also from my
departed mentor, Tony Bessara and his family, especially for the
wonderful final salute ceremony that you and the squadron had
performed. Aloha from all of us.
