The Hawaiian Islands has a total of about 1300 Islands. From the main islands and its chain all the way to the Midway Islands. Midway Island is part of the City & County of Honolulu. Honolulu is on the Island of Oahu. The main core of the islands are what is known as the Hawaiian Islands.
These are the main eight
Islands.
Hawaii. Kohoolawe, Maui,
Lanai, Molokai, Oahu, Kauai and Niihau
No one lives on the Island of Kohoolawe. The Island of Kohoolawe was used by the military as a bombing training area for years, and only now is been cleaned up for use again by the Hawaiian people. The Island of Niihau Is a private Island. It has people true to the Islands, "Pure Hawaiian Blood". It is closed to any visitors.
